Services
The Rate for a Service Call and the rate for each
additional hour is based on location of where the repairs are
conducted. Rates in Dallas Texas are higher than rates in El Paso
Texas. The Service Call amount is based on the location where the
repairs are conducted and the distance from the support shop. In El
Paso there are some calls that are performed 150 miles from the
support shop and thus have a higher Service Call amount.
Some repairs can be done right in your home. The
replacement of a video card, installation of a few drivers, resetting
your password for example. At times some of the repairs can be done
in the 30 minutes included with a service call, others may take
longer an thus cost more.
Other repairs that take longer will cost less if
your computer is taken to the support shop for the repairs.
Replacement of the motherboard, virus removal, or a new
installation of windows to name a few. Some virus removals take
many different runs to remove all of the viruses and is done at the
support shop where many computers are worked on at the same time
thus reducing the cost of removing viruses.
When you want a longer repair done in your home
you are charged for the service call which includes 30 minutes of
time and an hourly rate for additional time billed in 15 minute
increments.
The computer technician who will contact you, can give you a fair guess of what the problem is over the
phone and an estimate of what it will cost for the repairs. An
estimate is not always the final cost of the repair which really
depends on what the real problems are with your computer. But a
scope of work can be defined before the Service Call is accepted
by you. Get a clear scope of work for the quoted estimate so you and
the computer technician know what will be performed during the service
call.
There will be times when a service call is
unnecessary an you can get the address of the support shop and take
your computer to the supporting shop.
