Anti-Virus Software: Use an Anti-Virus software
(AVG is one that has a free version)
Know where you are surfing on the Internet. Many
viruses are picked up from web sites. So where you go effects what you
catch.
Know who is using your computer and what they are
doing with it. Friends have gone to web sites with viruses infecting
your computer. Be careful.
Coffee or soda spilt on a keyboard has destroyed
many computers especially Notebooks. Best thing to do for an
accidental spill is to immediately flip over the keyboard or
notebook and turn off the power as quickly as possible.
Backup important data. Computers fail, and if you do
not have a backup of all your important data whether it's music,
photos, or documents the data CAN BE LOST.
