GetTechsOnline...
was started in January 2009. A problem was
discovered in the El Paso area where people were not able to get
quality computer repairs. Are there a lot of people out there
repairing computers? Yes, but what happens many times is people
have spent money on repairs that just don't work, sometimes these
repairs are expensive and other times they are cheap. These failed
computer repairs came from the Super Computer Stores to the friends
who knew everything about computers. The one's I became aware of were
finally repaired in a computer sales and repair shop in the El Paso, TX
area. I was asked if I could create an online interface for people to
get in contact with this shop. The outcome is GetTechsOnline.com.
I know of other online services used by businesses to
get work orders for computer repairs. How do they work, first you
have to have an account with them and pay the money up front for the
repairs. Then they put you in contact with a technician in the area
where the repair is requested. The problem is how they get the
technicians. They get as many technicians in an area as they can
whether they are qualified or not and that is who does the repair.
The difference between GetTechsOnline and these
other on line services is that GetTechsOnline works
through a computer shop locally in an area and payment is made to the computer
shop not GetTechsOnline. There are no middle people
or companies involved.
What do we do? We charge a small fee for
establishing the connection between the customer and the computer
shop. The fee is paid by the computer shop and the computer
shop is responsible for the technicians they send out and the work
they perform. The Customer works directly with the Computer Shop and
has an established organization doing the computer repairs.
